Two or more candles with matching lows at the bottom of a decline — price hit the same floor twice and bounced.
The first candle is usually bearish and the second bullish, but both reach almost exactly the same low. The equal lows show sellers could not break beneath that level.
It signals a potential bottom and bullish reversal, strongest at a known support level, with a higher close as confirmation.
Look for two adjacent candles whose lows align almost perfectly, typically after a downtrend. A cleaner shared low means a stronger signal.
Never trade a single candle in isolation. It only carries weight with context — location at a key level, the prevailing trend, and confirmation from the next candle or from volume. On its own it is a hint, not a signal.
