AUD/CAD Key Levels Today: Support, Resistance and Pivots

The AUD/CAD levels worth having on your chart today, recalculated every morning from the last completed session. Measured, not opinion: the session and the feed are printed with the numbers.

Short answer

The key AUD/CAD levels today are the previous session's high and low, the daily pivot point with its R1, R2, S1 and S2, this week's high and low, and the nearest round numbers. The table on this page lists each one, recalculated every day from completed bars.

AUD/CAD levels for today

These are the price levels most traders have on their AUD/CAD chart before the session starts: where the last session topped and bottomed, the textbook pivot points calculated from it, this week's range so far, last week's range, and the round numbers nearby. They are recalculated every day from completed bars, and the session they come from is printed above the table.

A typical day on this market travels about 48.3 pips from high to low (six month average daily range, measured here). From the previous close that puts a typical day's reach at roughly 0.98106 above and 0.97624 below, if the day were centred on it. Most days are not, which is why this is context, not a target.

What these levels are not

A level is a place to pay attention, not an instruction. Price can and does cut straight through all of them. None of this is a trade recommendation or financial advice: it is arithmetic on the previous session, published so you can check it against your own chart.

Method, and whose prices these are

The feed is OANDA's, read through the charting desk we trade and teach on. Each figure comes from completed daily bars only; the session still forming is never used. The daily bar opens at the New York close, so "previous session" means the last complete New York to New York day. Your broker's feed may differ by a few points or pips, which is normal for markets without a single consolidated price.

Frequently asked questions

What are the key AUD/CAD levels today?

The previous session's high, low and close, the daily pivot points calculated from them, this week's range and the nearest round numbers. They are listed in the table on this page.

How are pivot points calculated?

P = (high + low + close) / 3 of the previous session. R1 = 2P - low, S1 = 2P - high, R2 = P + (high - low), S2 = P - (high - low).

How often is this page updated?

Every day, after the session closes, from completed bars. The session date and the time it was recalculated are printed above the table.

Are these levels a trade recommendation?

No. They are arithmetic on the previous session, published so you can check them against your own chart. Price often reacts at them and often cuts straight through.
